Kynar® inertness and formability make it advantageous for use as a IOL haptic fiber. Kynar® is interesting because PVDF was developed as a weather resistant coating and was later used in metalized form for electrostatic speaker cones. PVDF forms stable haptics in the stiffness range of PMMA.
Lot Certification Sets are provided to IOL manufacturer’s specification. Technical, IDE and PMA support is available.
Due to differences in IOL design and manufacturing methods, suitability of our haptic materials must be determined by IOL manufacturers.
Customers must determine the suitability and fitness of Biogeneral products for their application.
